²⁰ You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’”^{[a] 21} And he said, “All these I have observed from my^[b] youth.” ²² And when he^[c] heard this,^[d] Jesus said to him, “You still lack one thing:^[e] Sell all that you have, and distribute the proceeds^[f] to the poor—and you will have treasure in heaven—and come, follow me.”
